Security Guard - Kweikhat

ROLE PURPOSE: The overall objective of this position is to reduce the risks posed to the programme personnel and assets of all national and international SC staff through securing the premises of SCI facilities and assets.. The Security Guard will implement security and safety measures as per the guidance of the Security Officer in the field. This role will include crowd control, access control. SCOPE OF ROLE: Reports to: Security Officer Reporting to: None, but Security Guard will communicate closely with drivers KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: Man the main gate in order to deter unauthorized entry into the SC compound; Open the main gate for entry and exit of SC vehicles; Check the ID of visitors and log them into the visitors book; Examine the contents of any bags, boxes or other items carried by visitors; Ensure that visitors are met by the person whom they are visiting, Ensure that the visitors’ departure is logged in the visitors book; Conduct patrols as instructed in the patrol protocol/instruction; Examine any packages or other deliveries arriving at the compound and look for suspicious signs; Conduct patrols of the perimeter (internal and external), buildings and other areas. Fill out the guard report; Ensure that no vehicles are parked in front of the compound. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES Essential: Knows how to read and write in Arabic, English is  a plus Previous military or police experience Good physical condition Willingness to work and travel in often difficult and insecure environments; Commitment to Save the Children global policies and values. Valid Driving Licence
