   ABAAD-Resource Center for Gender Equality   For Immediate Recruitment   National Women and Girls Safe Spaces Program Manager   JOB PROFILE     JOB TITLE:  Women and Girls Safe Spaces Program Manager   DURATION:  6 months (renewable), initial probation of 3 months   LOCATION: Beirut based with regular travel to Mount Lebanon, North (Akkar), Bekaa (North, West and Central), and South   ABAAD PURPOSE: ABAAD aims at achieving gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region. ABAAD has a proven record in working in addressing GBV in emergency settings. “Ending Gender-Based Violence: towards standardization and strengthening quality of services and direct response” is an initiative aiming at reducing the risks of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through women, boys and girls empowerment and improving the quality of multi-sectorial assistance for women and girls survivors or at risk of GBV among the host and Syrian refugee population. BACKGROUND: In order to increase vulnerable women and girls’ (from all nationalities)  access to prevention and response services, ABAAD is setting up safe spaces for women and girls in various locations in Mount Lebanon, Northern, South,  and Bekaa Governorates. The WGSS Program Manager position is a significant position in ABAAD’s Women and Girls Safe Spaces program, overseeing the work of the Women and Girls Safe Spaces Coordinators (8) Senior Social Workers (3) and MEAL Officer (1) follow-up on work plans and programme performance, compiling data and reports ensuring that an appropriate prevention strategy is implemented, providing coaching and  technical support on case management and psychosocial activities,  and attending working group meetings on national level. JOB PURPOSE: The Women and Girls Safe Spaces Program Manager is responsible to oversee the work of the WGSS Coordinators (8) Senior Social Workers (3)  and MEAL Officer (1) regarding the provision of quality efficient case management and psychosocial support services  for women  and girls survivors and at risk throughout the eight WGSS REPORTING LINES: Post holder reports to: ABAAD General Director KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: I.                    Coordination with MoSA and Safe Space Directors -          Close coordination and cooperation with MoSA staff on central level -          Close cooperation with Safe Space Directors to coordinate the set programs -          Maintain regular contact with the Centers’ Directors to ensure smooth collaboration   II.                 Close Supervision on the Safe Spaces Coordinators and Senior Social Workers -          Oversee the work of the eight Safe Spaces Coordinators; -          Oversee the work of the three Senior Social Workers; -          Ensure provision of quality case management and psychosocial activities in all locations;   -          Ensure that all the services offered are in compliance with International  and internal standards and tools;   -          Organize regular meetings with the Safe Spaces Coordinators and Senior Social Workers to oversee the weekly and monthly work plans;   -          Support the conceptualizing and rolling out of work plan when needed;   -          Assess and evaluate regularly the effectiveness and efficiency of the officers’ implemented work.   -          Undertake field monitoring trips as needed   III.               Monitoring & Reporting: -        Prepare and submit to the ABAAD’s General Director the 8 WGSS work plans in a timely manner; -        Liaise with ABAAD’s MHPSS technical advisor to integrate quality control recommendations when appropriate; -        Receive, review, analyze and compile reports received from the  WGSS Coordinators and Senior Social Workers in close coordination with the MEAL officer; -        Provide on the job coaching to the WGSS Coordinators  and Senior Social Workers; -        Organize internal monthly team meetings; -        Other duties as assigned by ABAAD Director   IV.               Coordination: -        As requested undertake/participate in liaison, coordination, and information sharing activities with national NGOs, international organizations, donors and government   SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: -        MA in social work, public health, Mental Health or any other related field with at least 5 years of experience in a similar position -        Extensive Knowledge of best practice for prevention and response to GBV in Emergencies -        Extensive knowledge of case management principles and more specifically on the survivor-centered approach -        Experience in working with refugees and/or displacement settings -        Proficiency in working with both adult and child survivors -        Familiarity with GBV data collection system and safe and ethical guidelines -        Respect guiding principles of safety, confidentiality, and non-discrimination -        Leadership skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills -        Ability to work with and manage multi-disciplinary teams -        Commitment to human rights and gender equality -        Flexible pro-active attitude -        Ability to manage an unpredictable workload in a challenging environment -        Ability to work across complex socio-cultural, socio-political and religious contexts -        Belief in ABAAD’s mission and vision -        Respect for ABAAD Code of Conduct and its PSEA Policy -        Languages: Fluency in spoken and written Arabic, clear and concise reporting in English is strongly preferred. French is a plus -        Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
