Project Coordinator

Management Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring staffing needs are met, by working in close liaison with the project Director to ensure appropriately qualified personnel are recruited and in post in a timely manner. Provide direct supervision of two social workers, in close coordination with the Project Director. Work with the staff members to set and monitor objectives and work plans, and provide constructive feedback on an on-going and scheduled basis.   Project Implementation and Management Responsible for overseeing the delivery of agreed outputs and for quality of the project activities; In close liaison with the project Director, take timely and considered decisions on how to respond to changing needs of beneficiaries; Ensure that weekly activity plans are in accordance with overall project objectives, identified outputs and timeframes; Support the specialists in maintaining a clear, comprehensive and up-to-date written mapping of services provided by specialists in Lebanon. Ensure that weekly activity plans are in accordance with overall project objectives, identified outputs and timeframes.   Project Cycle Management Needs Assessment: Identify and assess the main information, legal and protection needs of target beneficiaries and apply this to quality project design and implementation. Project Design: In close coordination with the project manager and the specialists, develop the design of the project’s activities and, as relevant, contribute to their development. Project Planning: Responsible for developing work plans for the project, and ensuring that project activities and outputs are delivered on target and in accordance with Fista and donor commitments, and in liaison with the project director Monitoring and Evaluation: Responsible for ensuring that design and standardization of forms, questionnaires and other templates used to document the project’s activities in the field meet the project needs, in liaison with Fista Monitoring and Evaluation team. Undertake monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure the satisfactory progress, quality, efficiency and accountability of the project’s activities, in accordance with the agreed monitoring and evaluation plan. Reporting: Overall responsibility for reporting on the project’s activities to the project director on time and according to requirements   Coordination Fista: Build and maintain positive and effective relationships with all colleagues through regular and effective communication; In close liaison with the specialists, monitor and ensure a positive morale and professional satisfaction amongst the team; Participate in regular meetings with the project staff in order to facilitate the exchange of information, discussion and response to challenges and to identify lessons learned. Other Humanitarian Actors, Partners and Beneficiaries: Overall responsibility for establishing  referral pathways and procedures, in close liaison with other humanitarian actors Work cooperatively with the beneficiaries, partners and other relevant stakeholders to strengthen the project.   Strategy Contribute to strategic development and expansion of the project.   Technical Quality and Consistency Be receptive to, and where necessary proactively seek, technical advice from the project’s director. Provide technical advice to the team on the implementation of the activities under the guidance of the project’s director; Document technical issues and questions and report to the project’s director with suggested ways of addressing them.   Other Perform any other duties as required by the Project Director.   Experience and Skills Requirements Experience in legal, social, and /or protection work in a humanitarian context Experience of providing information and counseling services (desirable) Experience of community sensitization (desirable) Ability to analyze information and apply legal / protection principles Experience of preparing reports (desirable) Experience of preparing proposals and liaising with donors (desirable) Experience of project cycle management (desirable) Demonstrated leadership skills Proven experience of successfully managing a team
