Psychologist for working with vulnerable women   International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland is the official humanitarian relief agency of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America. Since its inception in 1992, IOCC has delivered more than $488 million in relief and development programs to families and communities in more than 50 countries.   IOCC seeks a Part-time Psychologist who will be responsible for planning and conducting awareness sessions for Assyrian refugees’ women in Hadath and Sed El Bouchrieh Primary Health Care Centers.    Responsibilities and Essential Functions  Develop an awareness session plan and conduct awareness sessions for women. Examine the role of the traumatic experience in the context of the women’s life, currently and historically, and enhance the women’s coping mechanisms. Identify protection concern and provide psychological support to cases of concern. Make necessary and timely referrals when needed, respecting confidentiality and the beneficiary’s right Hold a weekly meeting with the Program Coordinator. Ensure timely reporting of the activities to the Program Coordinator. Build the capacity of PHC staff on psychological issues. Perform other duties as required or assigned Qualifications Knowledge, skills and abilities: Good organizational skills. Advanced knowledge in psychosocial / psychological interventions Dynamic personality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English; French is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and initiative taker.  Good report writing skills. Ability to communicate with vulnerable populations.   Experience: 3 years of work experience. Previous experience in NGO and humanitarian field is an advantage. Previous experience in working with women and vulnerable populations is an advantage.     Working Conditions Stationed in Hadath and Sed Bouchrieh PHC, with frequent visits to IOCC office. Preferable that candidate resides in Beirut-Mt Lebanon area.
