Consultant For Psychological Support Group

THE PURPOSE OF THE CONSULTANCY World Vision Lebanon is looking for a short term consultant to provide staff-care, counseling and psychological support to all staff working in the PSCs. The purpose is to conduct activities aiming at mitigating distress and enhancing resilience of animators in response to stressors encountered during delivering PSS activities, which is a way of self-care for frontline workers who deal with vulnerable children having protection concerns and violations. The Support group sessions will target 10 participants in Akkar once per month on a Friday and 15 participants in Beirut once per month on a Wednesday. Location and dates will be determined with the Project Coordinators after signing the contract. CONTRACTOR (SECOND PARTY) SPECIFICATIONS A qualified candidate for the second party contractor must: • Be an official organization or specialized individual working within the psychotherapy field. • Psychotherapist or an experienced psychologist with a previous experience in support group programs • Fluent in English and Arabic. • Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect and non-discrimination Support Group Sessions designed by the second party must: • Be a three hour session • Help staff to find strategies and methods of working with children. • Encourage staff to verbalize their anxieties and fears. • Provide guidance on how to work with children (case study). • Support Group sessions should be both an opportunity to care for the team, but to also build their capacity and resources. PARTY RESPONSABILITIES World Vision (First Party) The first party agrees to: • Provide sufficient project funding • Review second party reports and provide general oversight as necessary. • Provide the needed materials for the Support Group Sessions Contractor (Second Party) The second party agrees to: • Develop Support group program in line with first party specifications • Provide monthly detailed report to the Project coordinators • Book dates and coordinate all logistics of executing the sessions • Drive and move between Mount Lebanon and Akkar • Give feedback to the project coordinator accordingly on issues that may require more specialized intervention. • Comply with World Vision policies and practice with respect to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures. PROJECT TIME FRAME • Bids submitted: 29 June 2016. • Contract signed: Second week of July. • Support Group Sessions: July till December 2016, for a total of 36 hours. • Report submitted: at the end of each month to the project coordinators.
