1. Role and responsibilities
General Responsibilities
To follow NRC standard procurement practices keeping records to full audit trail standard.
Establish and maintain a good professional working relationship with suppliers.
To ensure that all purchased goods are of NRC standard and fit for the purpose.
To support and train other logistics, programme and office staff on NRC procurement procedures.
To produce regular, timely and accurate reports in relation to procurement activities.
Provide support to all Bekaa offices including Zahle, Baalbeck and Arsal; and other possible offices.
To ensure proper & organizing filing and archiving for all related procurement documents
To conduct proper market surveys when necessary.
Provide cover and back-up when required to the Logistics officer and logistics assistants for other department activities including fleet, office maintenance and Asset management; if needed.
Specific responsibilities:
Where appropriate to obtain no less than three quotations, prepare a Bid Analysis and recommendation to purchase, with all information being systematically recorded in Purchase Committee minutes.
Prepare request for quotation and invitation to Bids to initiate new tenders.
To liaise and co-ordinate with the relevant programme colleagues regarding delivery of supplies and keep all parties informed of any changes in a timely manner.
To identify and maintain an accurate and up-to-date supplier information database for the office for the regularly purchased items, and keep informed of local market conditions.
Track requisitions and ongoing procurements using NRC procurement tracking sheets
Further, with appropriate authorisation execute the purchase of appropriate supplies (using Purchase orders / Contracts where appropriate) and arrange delivery in a timely and cost effective manner.
Keep track of all contracts and LTAs related to Zahle, Baalbak, and Arsal office.
To ensure all buildings are maintained and kept in a good condition

Warehouse Keeper, Logistic Department in other field offices and Head Office Logistics

Context related skills, knowledge and experience (shall be adapted to the specific position):
University level degree in Management, procurement or relevant fields.
Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant working experience in non-governmental organization is a must
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and team working skills.
Good cultural awareness and sensitivity.
Highly approachable, trustworthy and confidential.
Knowledge of NGO operations and the dynamics of the humanitarian sector is a plus.
Strong documentation, research and report writing skills.
Knowledge and relevant experience in child protection issues.
