Job Title : Gender Based Violence Coordinator
Reports to : Project Manager
Duty Station : Sour, roving between South -Sour, Nabatieh-, Mount Lebanon -Anout and Baakleen- and Bekaa -Rachaya, Central and West Bekaa- regions

Salary: : 2.432,50 USD (gross salary)[1]
Job Purpose:
Coordinate the Gender Based Violence component of a UNICEF-funded project and in particular activities to be realized in and around Women and Girls Safe Spaces (WGSS) in the above mentioned regions, coaching and supervising senior social workers and community mobilizers.
Generic Duties:
Work on an holistic GBV programme to be implemented in and around WGSS in the above mentioned regions targeting women and girls survivors or at risk of violence;
Work on guidelines for the implementation of GBV activities for women and girls in and around WGSS;
Conduct trainings on the programme set for social workers and community mobilizers;
Establish ad hoc programmes of implementation of activities for every regions in order to reach qualitative and quantitative targets in due time;
Supervise social workers and community mobilizers in their daily activities;
Strengthen linkages between different components of INTERSOS GBV interventions;
Work on community brochures in consultation with women and girls in the communities to orient them on the services available
Realize reports and provide inputs on GBV gaps and trends and for technical sections for project proposals.
Specific Duties:
Ensure the adoption of minimum standard required (ex. Women and Girls Safe Space checklist) in centers were the activities are implemented;
Plan, organize and supervise the implementation of:
i) outreach activities run by the Community Mobilizers (CM) and other staff members in order to identify women and girls victims or at risk of violence and to provide information on services available;
ii) awareness sessions on specific topics such as sexual and reproductive health, early marriage, early pregnancy and marriage registration;
iii) emotional support groups and Focus Group Discussion (FGD);
iv) recreational and de-stressing activities;
v) life skills development activities such as socio-economic / empowerment opportunities and life plans;
vi) ad hoc curriculum for women, such as Arab Women Speak Out (AWSO) and Good parenting;
vii) ad hoc curriculum for adolescent girls, such as My Safety My Wellbeing (MSMW) and Citadel of Protection, focusing specifically on married girls, adopting also structured Psychosocial curriculum;
Develop guidelines on i=the implementation of GBV programmes in and around WGSS;
strengthen linkages between the different components of INTERSOS GBV interventions and community groups made up of women and girls;
Collaborate with other staff members in order to insure that GBV dimension is integrated in all interventions;
Organize and/or conduct trainings on i) GBV risk identification and referral; ii) advocacy and iii) communication skills;
Collaborate with the Social Development Coordinator for the realization of community-led advocacy campaigns to mitigate GBV risks;
Collaborate with the Social Development Coordinator to investigate on how additional services already provided by the Social Development Centers (SDCs) can guarantee a comprehensive GBV package;
contribute to the development of community brochures in consultation with women and girls in the communities to orient them on the services available
Provide inputs on for the realization of community brochures in consultation with women and girls in the communities to orient them on the services available;
Informs the Project Manager about any difficulty met in INTERSOS activities implementation;
Accomplish any other assignments given by supervisors or the Project Manager;
Be available to train and monitor Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and SDCs staff for the implementation of specific activities.
Reporting:
Check and provide final versions of qualitative monitoring tools on the base of the data provided by Community mobilizers and Senior Social Workers;
Provide monthly reports to be validated by the Project Manager and other internal reporting;
Provide quarterly reports to be validated by the Project Manager to be presented to UNICEF;
Provide input and reports for particular GBV related issues and sections of project proposal;
Administration:
Prepare weekly liquidity plans on the base of inputs provided by field staff and be responsible of it;
Logistic:
Coordinate with Field Activities Officers (FAOs) and with the INTERSOS Logistic Department for i) refreshment and material delivery and ii) centers maintenance.
Meeting:
Be available to take part in meetings in the centres, in Tyre INTERSOS Office or in any other location required by the FAO and the general management
Education:
University Degree in Social Work, Gender Studies or related fields

- Understanding and commitment to GBV, Child Protection and Protection principles
- Deep knowledge of GBV issues and ad hoc curriculum such as Arab Women Speak Out, My safety my wellbeing
- Good knowledge on how to conduct awareness sessions and FGSs
- Expertise in conducting GBV Trainings
- Strong organizational skills;
- Strong interpersonal skill and communication skills;
- Good Knowledge of English;

- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience and 1 in NGO
- Experience in managing teams up to 15 persons
