MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Under the supervision of the WaSH Deputy Program Manager, the WaSH Field Officer is responsible for the daily technical planning, supervision, monitoring and reporting of the field activities of construction and for ensuring proper coordination with contractors, municipalities, other authorities and related ACF departments. The position requires extensive field work and movement between several worksites. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES Technical knowledge in water infrastructures design is required Knowledge in water quality and water treatment is an asset Proven experience in civil works, construction, piping, plumbing or similar activities Experience in dealing with contractors, local authorities and suppliers is required Experience in a similar position is preferable Reporting capacity Organized and rigorous personality Ability to work in a team, interpersonal qualities and diplomacy Flexible with respect to job priority Working languages : English (written and spoken), Arabic (spoken) Computer skills : Microsoft Office, Excel mandatory. Command of AutoCad and mapping tools is highly desirable DETAILED OBJECTIVES AND TASKS Objective 1 : Follow up day to day implementation of construction works in the targeted communities Follow up the construction and rehabilitation works of different water infrastructure (mechanical and structural) on daily basis ** Ensure the timely implementation of field works as per the predefined schedule ** Support in ensuiring the quality and quantity of materials at field according to agreed plans and Bills of Quantities(BoQs) **Support in building relationships between ACF, district authorities, minicipalities and communities Objective 2 : Monitoring, coordination and communication Monitor the conformity of the field works with the standards of ACF, and as per the agreed BoQs and contracts ** Coordinate with the local partners, water team on best implementation ** Coordinate with local authorities and ensuring continuous communication with  beneficiaries and communities' representatives regarding the implementation of works and in orderto ensuire a flawless progress of activities **Inform and document the anomalies happened during construction works, and possible improvements and corrections where applicable. Objective 3 : Data Collection and Reporting File, document and report work progress to his/her line manager on weekly basis ** Regular reporting of work progress to the Deputy Program  Manager ** Report possible problem or conflict during the activities ** Report the use of materials and possible improvements Objective 4  : Security Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan and perform the security management tasks that can be assigned in its protocols ** Communicate to the security managers of the working location any security related information or non-compliance with the security plan Objective 5 : Support to ACF humanitarian goals Support emergency interventions, as per the employee's capacities ** Support any activity that helps achieving ACF humanitarian goals, as per the employee's capacities ** Participate in new assessments ** Support other activities if needed
