Case Worker - Nabatieh

Job Title        : Case Worker (CW) Reports to       : Senior case worker and National Protection Officer Duty Station    : Nabatieh district, South region Position Type  : Full time Salary              : 1.200 USD (Net Salary)   Job Purpose: Act according to the guiding principles of Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Child Protection (CP) case management including: survivor centered approach, respect of confidentiality, prioritize according to safety concerns, ‘do not harm’,  ensure a non-discriminatory approach, act according to the best interest of the child, ensure accountability, respect professional boundaries and avoid conflict of interest, the case worker: ensures that protection principles are understood, maintained and enforced; provides direct support and care for vulnerable case with protection concerns (including survivors of gender-based violence), including psychosocial support and case management.   Generic Duties: Detect, counsel and follow up individual cases identified during psychosocial activities by the team or referred by other agencies or through community services and protection monitors where applicable; Conduct psychosocial assessment of vulnerable cases, including environmental, emotional, behavioral, and social factors as well as resources and strengths that impact the individual well- being; Ensure coordination and synergy with the main service providers in the area of intervention for prompt referral, follow up and information sharing; Manage, fill, archive specific forms for cases profiling, referral and weekly reporting ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness; Monitor and follow up the outcome of the assistance provided; Be available to provide basic emotional support for urgent cases; Manage the hotline according to the internal procedures and under the Senior Case worker supervision; Ensure the provision of emergency cash assistance for the most vulnerable clients, according to the needs of the clients, the agreed criteria and the internal procedures and under the supervision of the Senior case worker; Ensure that data protection protocol is respected; Be available to participate in meetings and trainings in and outside the centres including case management meetings and case conferences meetings or any other meetings when required by the Senior case worker; Accomplish any other task not here listed if necessary to the projects achievement. Specific Duties: conduct individual and group emotional support activities with cases in and around the Women and Girls Safe Space (WGSS) of Nabateih; participate and collaborate in the implementation of other activities for women and girls (recreational, psychosocial, awareness) in and around the WGSS of Nabatieh; support the organization of specific events or activities in and around the WGSS; provide trainings for INTERSOS staff, community based organizations (CBOs) and Social Development Centers (SDCs) staff on CP and GBV safe identification and referral;   contribute to the update of the existing directly of services and to the INTERSOS case management system; contribute to the development of new qualitative monitoring tools and adopt it in the field; promote the involvement of CBOs and SDCs staff  in case management activities, whenever possible and on the respect of the above mentioned principles, through a coaching and monitoring programme; be the focal point for the identification of CP and GBV cases by INTERSOS staff, CBOs and SDCs staff, community members and community groups and for their referral to available service providers on the base for referral pathways adopted by INTERSOS; provide daily and weekly updates to the Senior social worker about new cases assessed; support the Senior C.W on the elaboration of the weekly report to the P.O National, P.O International and PM. conduct household assessments of protection cases for inclusion in United Nations cash assistance programs; contribute to the preparation of weekly “liquidity plan” and be responsible of it.   Education: University Degree in a related field to Social Work, Psychology or equivalent   Competencies:  (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)   Professional Competencies: -       Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience. -       Knowledge of CP and GBV issues -       Computer literacy (Word, Excel) -       Reporting skills -       Driving License   Behavioural competencies: -                      High confidentiality, respect and non-discrimination attitude. -                      Ability to work under pressure -                      Good interpersonal and  communication skills -                      Willing to work extra hours and during the weekend if emergency cases arise -                      Availability to frequent field visits across area     Languages: -                      Fluency in Arabic -                      Good working English knowledge. [1] Salary subject to variation due to the seniority in the organization and the acceptance of the salary grid by donors, net salary deoes not include the transportation allowance.
