Field Surveyor - Enumerators - Data Collectors

Job description CARE International organization in Lebanon seeks FIELD ENUMERATORS to conduct monitoring (Shelter) surveys and support the M&E department in its program. The field enumerator is primarily responsible for collecting field data. They have direct contact with, host Lebanese and Syrian refugees. They have a great bearing on the quality of data collected and ultimately on the quality of data output. The enumerators occupy a central position in the household verification since it is them who collect the information according to their specific role. Therefore, the success of the data collection and the whole data reliability depends on the skills of every enumerator and their ability to conduct the related tasks. The questionnaire will be made available in electronic format and tablets will be provided to this effect. A 2-day training will take place a few days before the launch of the activity (exact date to be confirmed) to train enumerators on how to fill out the questionnaire. Skills and required abilities: •        Know the area to survey (Bur Hammoud) •        Possess apparent people skills •        Comfortable in working within a large team •        Comfortable in using Android Tablets and apps Pre-Enumeration duties: § Attend enumerators’ training § Receive enumeration materials and equipment from the team leader Enumeration duties: § Locate sample members § Set interview dates with respondents § Conduct interviews with respondents § Record responses as instructed § Comply with the requirements necessary for conducting a successful interview Post-Enumeration duties: § Report the number of surveys collected and any unusual situations to the team leader on a daily basis § Ensure that enumerator checklist is complete § Ensure that all questionnaires and equipment are accounted for § Turn over all literature and materials used in the survey to the team leader § Follow confidentiality and security procedures to ensure respondent privacy is protected
