Finance Coordinator

These attitudes and believes shall guide our actions and relationships. 1.      Role and responsibilities The following is a brief description of the role. Generic responsibilities (max 10) These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work and Development plan. Implement NRC’s financial systems and procedures at national level Ensure adherence to Financial Handbook, other NRC policies and donor requirements Maintain budget control and monitor cash flow for the area Prepare and submit reports and analysis as required Ensure proper filing of all financial documents Specific responsibilities These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly. Prepare donor financial reports and any other financial management reports. Participate in budget preparation for new proposals and grant applications to ensure compliance with NRC and donor guidelines Upload project’s budgets into Agresso Prepare Payroll, NSSF, income tax, provisions in accordance with NRC’s financial procedures and contract policies. Prepare transactions to post in HO account. Coordinate and facilitate with independent auditor for reports and tax declarations Coordinate with controller on financial related matters when needed; Communicate and review financial reports with PMs, AMS. Prepare and monitor allocation of expenses between approved budgets and projected expenditure (Master budget, consolidated allocation tables, BPO). Contribute to monthly financial analysis and reports. Maintain financial archives in accordance with donor requirements Monitor and control income from local donors. Critical interfaces By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other departments/units or persons. Relevant interfaces for this position are: •             Coordinate with PMs, AMs, PCs and field FOs in budget preparations & follow ups •             Coordinate with support departments. •             Coordinate with Auditors. 2.      Competencies Competencies are important in order for the employee and the organisation to deliver desired results. They are relevant for all staff and are divided into the following two categories: 1. Professional competencies These are skills, knowledge and experience that are important for effective performance. Generic professional competencies: •             Min. 3-5 years relevant experience in a similar position /management and coordination of staff/ good project management skills •             Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts •             Familiar with grants proposal writing and reporting •             Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts •             Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities •             Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile •             Fluency in English, both written and verbal Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience: •             Knowledge of the context in Lebanon •             Experience with start-up, exit or similar 2. Behavioral competencies (max 6) These are personal qualities that influence how successful people are in their job.
