Data Collectors (2) - Bekaa

Job Overview / Summary The main objective of the positions is to ensure high quality data collection from LCC beneficiaries across the 8 governorates in Lebanon. All data collected will be using a tablet (pad), to reduce data error and time to enter the data. The data collectors hired will be trained on both the tablet and the questionnaire to be used. Additionally, the data collectors will conduct key informant interviews and focus group discussions.     Major Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Senior Research Officer, the Data collectors will: Participate in data collection for two LCC research projects: The Impact Evaluation (Only Quantitative data) The One-Card Approach (Quantitative and Qualitative data) Help organize and conduct focus group discussions with beneficiaries and community representatives, taking notes and providing support Assist the LCC partner’s organization and field teams in verifying the accuracy of data collected at all stages of the program   Key Working Relationships Position Reports to:  Senior Research Officer Other Internal and/or external contacts: Internal: Other LCC Staff      Job Requirements Bachelor of Arts or Science in Social Science, Economics, Agriculture, Food Security or related field 1-2 years of experience in community based projects, humanitarian work, or related field Demonstrated experience and capacity in conducting data collection and some experience in data analysis Strong ability to work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail Experience interacting with vulnerable populations, INGO experience preferred. Personal qualities: Works in team and comfortable in a multi-cultural environment Fluency in English and Arabic required Demonstrated experience in Microsoft office Work environment: Travel and other requirements: Staff will be based in Bekaa, with some travel required between the main office and several areas in Lebanon (Akkar, North, Beirut, Mount Lebanon, South, Nabatieh, Bekaa, and Baalbeck).
