Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning and Assessment
Participate in site and beneficiary selection
Participate in the assessment of shelter and WASH needs in Informal Settlements
Assist in planning distribution activities
To be present on the different sites and respond to beneficiaries’ queries with good knowledge of relevant information
·Identify and engage key “gatekeepers” and community focal points amongst the refugee and host communities and maintain regular contact with them both to ensure access of MF teams and to promote participation of the community in activities
Support focal points and other community members in developing advocacy messages and strategies to address and/or mitigate risks faced by beneficiaries
Communication
Work with existing team to locate and select ITS within current target locations
Establish and maintain good communication lines local authorities, with local leaders and residents in Informal Settlements
Assist in translation as needed
Communicate implementation issues to supervisor
Liaise with Mapping Team and Distribution team
In charge of negotiation with landlords
Sign agreements with landlords and beneficiaries
Establish committees inside settlements
Work on mobilizing beneficiaries inside informal settlements
Work in compliance with and respect of the principles of humanitarian protection and confidentiality, working with refugee and host communities with sensitivity
Communicate implementation problems or issues to community mobilizer officer
Reporting
Establish worksheets to update records and monitor activities
Ensure organized and updated records
Collect and provide daily data on the activities organized and ensure that all relevant forms are duly filled
Assist any other sector in any of the assigned activities by his line manager.
