(Re-Ad) Psychosocial Support Capacity Building Officer

Job Overview/Summary: A Psychosocial support (PSS) Capacity Building officer is responsible for managing and delivering trainings to frontline staff and partners on a variety of child protection themes and psychosocial support in Lebanon. The  PSS Capacity Building Officer is responsible for supporting the Senior Capacity Building Manager in the ongoing coaching and technical support of partners’ staff and where needed IRC teams. S/he will spend the majority of his/her time in the field and will ensure that all PSS staff is implementing psychosocial support according to IRC standards. The PSS Capacity Building Officer will help identify lessons learned, and contribute to the development of technical tools and guidance for staff.  Who this position reports to: CP Senior Capacity Building Manager/ CM and PSS Responsibilities: PSS Capacity Building: Contribute to the development and adaptation of PSS trainings  for IRC staff, volunteers and partners. Build relationships and coordinate with the IRC partners across all areas to mobilize participants for trainings and workshops Complete all logistical preparations for IRC staff, volunteers and partners’ related trainings and workshops and ensure events are delivered in a timely manner according to the schedule. Participate in delivering trainings and workshops to PSS teams on PSS activities and ensure adherence to technical guidance and training plans Conduct on the job coaching visits and provide recommendations to support implementation of PSS activities by IRC staff and partners’ staff   Planning, grant monitoring, and reporting: Track individual participants in training databases, and ensure data entered is accurate and up to date. Assist with all relevant financial documents and complete accurately as required by IRC finance policy Support in documenting all trainings, workshops and field visits using the appropriate tools Participate in development of lessons learned and best practices. Coordination & Representation: Liaise and collaborate with other Case Management actors Undertake Case Management capacity building efforts to act as a backdrop for the CM staff.   Maintain positive coordination and relationships with partner and other IRC sector staff. Other Ensure activities are done in accordance with IRC logistics policy and in a timely manner to ensure the successful implementation of programs; Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs   Professional Standards All IRC staff are required to adhere to the IRC Way Standards for Professional Conduct, Child Protection Policy and the IRC country employment policies.   REQUIREMENTS: University degree in psychology, social work, or related field. 2-3 years working experience minimum Experience in working with children mandatory Experience in working in emergencies preferable Experience in working in a cross cultural environment mandatory Experience in working in NGO Experience in  delivering trainings Coaching experience is preferable Ability to develop training, manuals, and strategy in PSS Fluency in Arabic and English mandatory Proficient in Word and excel Willingness to work long hours and travel up to 70% of the time, including overnight stays   Working Environment:  This position requires frequent travel to all regions of Lebanon (Akkar, Tripoli, Bekaa, South), including some overnight stays and trips to the field.  Candidates must be able to balance frequent “field work” with responsibilities in the office, including responding to emails, coordinating with Supply Chain and Finance, and completing reporting.
