Wash Laboratory Assistant (Wla)

Specific responsibilities   Managing the entire work flow for water quality testing, incubators, autoclave & photometer chemical testing Collect or organize the random water samples taken from boreholes, water tanks, POUs Ensure test results are communicated back to refugees and site focal points   Critical interfaces   CSMC: engage with focal points, both when taking samples and when sharing results. Shelter/WASH SSU/SSB: ensure that need for testing for Shelter is followed up, either directly or via training/delegation of shelter staff. ICLA: familiar with and able to deal with referral cases, follow up communication with beneficiaries   1.      Competencies   Qualifications   Bachelor Degree in Health Science Proficient in managing Del Agua double-incubators water sample testing.   Generic professional competencies   Experience from working with water quality testing within a humanitarian/recovery context Previous experience from working in NGOs in relation to water quality testing Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities Knowledge of English   Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience   Able to communicate with impact and respect while dealing with a sometimes stressful environment Able to explain the reason for testing, and assuring testing results are being communicated back to those involved   2.       Behavioral competencies   Managing resources and achieving results Working with people Coping with cultural differences Communicating with impact and respect   3.       Performance Management   Job Description Work and Development Plan Performance review (end-of-trial, quarterly) NRC Competency Framework
