Senior Project Coordinator (Two Positions)

ABAAD – Resource Center for Gender Equality   Job Vacancy | Senior Project Coordinator (Two Positions) (24 months | Immediate Recruitment)   JOB PROFILE   JOB TITLE: Senior Project Coordinator   LOCATION: Beirut, Lebanon   ABAAD PURPOSE: ABAAD aims at achieving gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region. ABAAD has a proven record in working in addressing GBV in emergency settings. JOB PURPOSE: The Senior Project Coordinator will oversee the implementation, evaluation and tracking the progress to meet the project objectives and quality deliverables. REPORTING LINES: Post holder reports to:  ABAAD Director   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan the project Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project; Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project; Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities; Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required; Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion;   Implement the project Execute the project according to the project plan with direct coordination with the project team; Develop forms and records to document project activities as per the donor’s requirement; Set-up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured; Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project; Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including project staff in the organization on the progress of the project; Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards;   Monitoring, evaluation and draw learning of the project Develop MEAL framework for project(s), including measurable indicators and relevant tools; Monitor the progress of the project against set indicators in a timely manner; Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures; Contribute to the periodic monitoring of the project as well as learning reviews and ensure proper documentation; Capture learning and document the work of successful stories, to ensure that the projects’ inputs are producing positive results in the lives of women; Facilitate learning and linkages among local staff and partner organizations; Prepare payment requests, floats as needed; Write reports on the project for management and for donors; Communicate with donors as outlined in funding agreements; Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly); Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures; Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date; Work closely with the financial officer to prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for donors as outlined in funding agreements; Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality; Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase     SKILLS AND COMPETENCE: -        Minimum of five years of experiences; (NGO is a must) -        University degree in social science or related discipline, including gender and development; Proven track record of working in a similar capacity with the nation and/or international NGOs in the region; -        Knowledge of gender, gender equality and gender-based violence is a must; -        Experience in field coordination, monitoring and follow up; -        Experience in event management and coordination; -        Highly skilled in report writing in both languages (Arabic and English – French is a plus); -        Demonstrated ability to work with others and as part of a team; -        Knowledge and skills in computer usage including word, excel, power point, and social media; -        Good organizational skills; -        Effective member of team and role model; demonstrates creativity in seeking better ways to do things and shares with team, and promotes high standards. -        Takes responsibility for own work and delegated project/processes (including some leadership); -        Anticipates problems and regularly provides solutions.   Application Procedures Persons interested in applying for the position should send their CV along with a cover letter, to HR@abaadmena.org and include the job name above in the email subject by April 11, 2016, COB   Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.   ABAAD is an equal employment opportunity organization   ------------------ ABAAD-Resource Center for Gender Equality Furn Chebbak, Sector 5, 51 Bustani Street, Najjar Bldg., Ground Floor; P.O.Box: 50-048 Beirut-Lebanon Tel/fax: +961 (1) 28 38 20/1; Mob (office): +961 (70) 28 38 20 ; Men Center:  +961 (71) 28 38 20; Women & Girls Safe Space Safe line (24/7): +961 81 78 81 78 ; Al Dar Emergency Safe Housing Line (24/7): +961 76 06 06 02 Email: abaad@abaadmena.org; Volunteering: volunteers@abaadmena.org Web: www.abaadmena.org Follow us on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/abaadmena ; Twitter @abaadmena Register to our YouTube  Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/ABAADMENA
