Team Leader Child Friendly Space At The Unhcr Registration

JOB DESCRIPTION   All INTERSOS employees and consultant are expected to perform their roles and responsibilities according to INTERSOS Charter of Values and Code of Ethics. The job description is mandatory for all position within INTERSOS and shall be signed by employee within the first week of employment.   Job title           : Team Leader Child Friendly Space at the UNHCR Registration Center Reports to        : Field activities officer   Duty station     : South Lebanon, Sour Position type    : Part-time       Job purpose   The Team Leader is responsible for delivering recreational activities in the Child Friendly Space (CFS) at the UNHCR Registration Center, to provide information about services available in the field and to coach and monitor animators volunteers.   General duties and responsibilities:   -       work directly with children in the Child friendly Spaces (CFS) at the UNHCR Registration Center carrying out recreational activities; -       ensure that child protection principles are understood, enacted, maintained and applied in the CFS; -       be the visible link between the CFS staff and the community; -       Coordinate, support and supervise the CFS volunteers animators; -       when required coordinate the work with other project staff and with the hosting organization (UNHCR); -       inform the Field Activities Officer (FAO) if needed about any logistic difficulty met during the implementation of the activities; -       Inform the FAO and the Psycho-Social (PSS) Coordinator about any difficulty in the activities implementation related to the interaction with the children; -       act in the best interests of the child.   Specific duties and responsibilities:   Child Friendly Spaces: -       facilitate and encourage the participation of all children, notably the most vulnerable ones, ensuring proper attention to their specific emotional and physical needs / difficulties; -       ensure children under her/his responsibility are not exposed to any form of harm or stress during the activities; -       ensure the adoption of minimum standard required (ex. CFS checklist); -       ensure the respect of code of conduct in the center by children and parents/caregivers; -       ensure that the provided material is properly used, kept and cleaned; -       ensure that the centers is in order and clean; -       ensure the storage and distribution of healthy refreshment; -       plan, organize and run recreational activities with children according to their age and needs; -       when possible, conduct activities and spread key messages on Child Protection (CP) and Gender Based Violence (GBV) principles, focusing in particular on social media abuse, street safety, child labour, child marriage, safe protection measures at home, at school and at community level; -       ensure coaching and monitoring of  CFS volunteers animators; -       ensure collaboration with the hosting organization (UNHCR) in i) the daily activities, ii) the organization of special events and iii) in the referral of cases; -       provide information to children and parents/caregivers on services available in the field and create the link between them and International Non-Governmental Organization (INGOs), NGOs, Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Social Development Centers (SDCs) and any other stakeholders present in the area; -       be available for trainings provided by INTERSOS or other organizations.   Case Management: -       identify and refer vulnerable cases on the base of the referral pathways adopted by INTERSOS; -       in case of i) children dropped out of school, ii) unvaccinated children, iii) married children, iv) siblings of children involved in child labour, v) children in need of health services, vi) children  refer, through the FAO, to the appointed organizations providing education services, shelter, food and non-food assistance. -       Train on the job the animators volunteers on identification and referral pathways.   Reporting: -       collect information on number of children i) participating in the activities and ii) internally and externally referred; -       prepare weekly and monthly plans of the activities to be validated by the FAO; -       fill in daily, weekly and monthly monitoring tools to be validated by the FAO.   Administration: - prepare liquidity plans and be responsible of it;   Logistic: - coordinate, through the FAO, with the INTERSOS Logistic Department for i) refreshment and material delivery and ii) center maintenance.     Meeting: -       be available to take part in meetings in the centre, in Tyre INTERSOS Office.= or in any other location required by the  FAO and the general management.     Qualifications: -       Advanced Diploma in Social Work or equivalent; -       1 to 3 years work experience in implementing recreational activities, psychosocial activities and informal/formal education activities with children; -       Knowledge CP and GBV issues; -       Strong organizational skills; -       Strong interpersonal skill and communication skills; -       Good Knowledge of English; -       Good knowledge word and excel; -       Driving license holder.     Any change to the proposed activities should be discussed with the INTERSOS officers in Tyre.   A high degree of flexibility on the part of all staff is expected in order to respond to the ever-evolving situation. This job description may change based on the situation in the field. He/she can be asked required to perform other related duties as identified by his supervisor.   He/she knows INTERSOS Chart of Values and Code of Ethics.
