Social Worker At The Unhcr Registration Center

JOB DESCRIPTION   All INTERSOS employees and consultant are expected to perform their roles and responsibilities according to INTERSOS Charter of Values and Code of Ethics. The job description is mandatory for all position within INTERSOS and shall be signed by employee within the first week of employment.   Job title           : Social Worker at the UNHCR Registration Center Reports to        : Team Leader Child Friendly Space Duty station     : South Lebanon, Sour area Position type    : Part-time     Job purpose   The Social Worker is responsible for delivering awareness sessions on Child Protection (CP) and Gender Based Violence (GBV) concepts and to provide information about services available in the field.   General duties and responsibilities:   -       work directly with adolescent and parents/caregivers in UNHCR Registration Center carrying out awareness sessions on CP, GBV and protection related issues; -       ensure that child CP and GBV principles are understood; -       when required coordinate the work with other project staff and with the hosting organization (UNHCR); -       inform the Team Leader (TL) if needed about any logistic difficulty met during the implementation of the activities; -       inform the Team Leader and through him/her the Psycho-Social (PSS) Coordinator about any difficulty in the activities implementation related to the interaction with adolescent and parents/caregivers.   Specific Duties and responsibilities: -       Deliver awareness sessions at UNHCR Registration Center for adolescent and parents/caregivers according to their age and needs focusing on specific CP and GBV issues and in particular on  trends recorded by INTERSOS and UNHCR (ex. social media abuse, street safety, child labour and child marriage); -     provide information to adolescent and parents/caregivers on services available in the field and create the link between them and International Non-Governmental Organization (INGOs), NGOs, Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Social Development Centers (SDCs) and any other stakeholders present in the area; -    ensure that the provided material is properly used and kept; -    ensure that the provided material is update with correct information; -       ensure collaboration with other INTERSOS staff (Team Leader and Volunteer animators) and support them in the activities run in the Child Friendly Space when necessary; -       ensure collaboration with the hosting organization (UNHCR) in i) the daily activities, ii) the organization of special events and iii) in the referral of cases; -     be available for trainings provided by INTERSOS or other organizations.   Case Management: -       identify and refer vulnerable cases on the base of the referral pathways adopted by INTERSOS; -       in case of i) children dropped out of school, ii) unvaccinated children, iii) married children, iv) siblings of children involved in child labour, v) children in need of health services, vi) children  refer through the Child Friendly Space (CFS) Team Leader to the appointed organizations providing education services, shelter, food and non-food assistance.   Reporting: -       collect information on number of adolescent and parents/caregivers i) participating in the activities and ii) internally and externally referred; -       prepare weekly and monthly plan of the activities to be validated by the TL; -       fill in daily, weekly and monthly monitoring tools to be validated by the TL.     Administration: -     prepare liquidity plans in collaboration with the TL and be responsible of it.   Logistic: -  coordinate, through the TL, with the INTERSOS Logistic Department for refreshment and material delivery.     Meeting: -       be available to take part in meetings in the CFS, in Tyre INTERSOS Office or in any other location required by the general management.     Qualifications: -       Advanced Diploma in Social Work or equivalent; -       1 to 3 years work experience in implementing mobilization activities; -       Knowledge CP and GBV issues; -       Strong organizational skills; -       Strong interpersonal skill and communication skills; -       Good Knowledge of English and experience in reporting; -       Good knowledge word and excel; -       Driving license holder.   Any change to the proposed activities should be discussed with the INTERSOS officers in Tyre.   A high degree of flexibility on the part of all staff is expected in order to respond to the ever-evolving situation. This job description may change based on the situation in the field. He/she can be asked required to perform other related duties as identified by his supervisor.   He/she knows INTERSOS Chart of Values and Code of Ethics.
