Document Purpose
This document outlines the goals of the Child Protection in Akkar ADP Area, the responsibilities of World Vision (first party), and the responsibilities of potential contracted second parties. It also defines the process interested second parties must undergo in order to bid for contract fulfillment, as well as a timeframe for overall project success.
Project Description
The Sponsorship project emerged from Akkar Area needs to reduce violence, designed to bring awareness on violence between children. In order to attend this objective, the Child Protection Committee in Akkar ADP needs to deepen its knowledge in the non violent communication and the self-resilience of the Most Vulnerable Children.
Target Group:
Group of Volunteers from Akkar ADP : youth aged between 17 and 24 years old.
Duration:
6 days of workshop from April till August 2016.

CRC framework and child rights
2 days in April, session of 3 hours
Communication skills and non violent communication
1 day in May, session of 3 hours

Life Skills session: Self confidence and responsibility
1 day in July, session of 3 hours
Importance of the role of voluntarism and impact of this role in their communities
1 day in August, session of 3 hours

World Vision staff :
2 of World Vision field staff will be in the workshop days helping in all logistic preparations.
Contractor (Second Party) Specifications
A qualified candidate for the second party contractor must:
Be an official trainer working with high technical knowledge in the designed topic
Has good facilitation skills and previous experience with youth.
Be sufficiently able to fulfill contract requirements within specified timeframe.
Workshop Specifications
The workshop designed by the second party must:
Be of 5 days , 3 hours each
Use Arabic language
Successfully engage the youth in the workshop content
The workshop should respect the Lebanese context taking into consideration different religions and different cultures,
Party Responsibilities
World Vision (First Party)
The first party agrees to:
Ensure the participation of the youth in the workshop..
Provide sufficient project funding as outlined in first party-second party agreement.
Review second party workshop content and report and provide general oversight as necessary.
Contractor (Second Party)
The second party agrees to:
Discuss the content of the workshops with World Vision staff previously.
Deliver the sessions according to the above timeframe.
Provide WVL with all contents and materials used during the sessions, while preserving WVL visibility.
Deliver a detailed report including recommendations at the end of the three days workshops.
Project Timeframe
Contract signed: 1 April 2016.
Event Sessions begin: 10 April 2016.
