JOB DESCRIPTION Lebanon Water Project (LWP) Call for Resumes Audio-Visual Communications Officer Background: DAI seeks a Photographer-Videographer for the USAID-funded “Lebanon Water Project (LWP).” The project’s goal is to increase reliable and sustainable access to potable water for Lebanese citizens; improve water management practices, and enhance the efficiency and sustainability of public water utilities, while raising awareness on sustainable water use practices and promoting better water governance. General Objective: The Audio-Visual Communication Officer is responsible for creating and developing visual storytelling across multiple platforms. This individual would shoot a wide range of assignments – trainings, public events, and infrastructure projects. S/he should be innovative and self-driven to connect with local communities and different stakeholders to provide the human interest and impact side of project activities. S/he will work under the guidance of the Deputy Chief of Party-Legitimacy and report to the Strategic Communication Team Lead to support the implementation of an effective communications strategy. Responsibilities: Demonstrate the ability to use photos, videos, and text to inform and engage a local and international audience. Experience with software for photography editing, video and audio editing, and media output and encoding for different platforms. Successfully use social media platforms and visually-driven social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube,) and be able to use good judgment for the “shareable” on these platforms and use photo-editing tools that could enhance that experience for the audience. Write professional storyboards and scripts for multimedia presentations. Advise on equipment needed for audio-visual material development. Prepare specifications for equipment needed for procurement. Assist the Communications and Outreach Team with other communications assignments mandated by the project. Qualifications At least a bachelor’s in cinematography, photography, audio-visual, or related disciplines with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience. Ability to provide constructive and creative input for key messages delivery means. Ability to produce communications products using behavioral change communication. Knowledge of audio and visual communication. Solid and hands-on practical experience in videography and photography. Excellent artistic skills. High layout skills for reports. Ability to display a keen eye for cutting-edge videography, photography, imagery, layout, typography, and color. Graphic design experience is a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment as most assignments will be field assignments with various stakeholders Possession of excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English.
