Gbv Expert

Overall Responsibility Under the supervision of the Project Officer, the GBV expert will be responsible for providing awareness sessions to community leaders, beneficiaries and project staff.   Main Duties and Responsibilities Coordinating with the Project Officer on the schedule of the awareness activities to be conducted. Working with the host and refugee communities to incorporate GBV prevention principles into the every-day activities. Conducting pre and post training evaluation tests for the targeted groups to assess their knowledge on the topics that need to be covered in coordination with the Gender Project Officer. Implementing GBV prevention activities at the field level with the different stakeholders. Ensuring sustainable GBV prevention procedures are set in place. Using GBV prevention awareness posters and brochures to raise awareness in the field and makes sure these are put in visible places for beneficiaries to see. Providing progress reports to the Project Officer on a weekly basis. Collecting the number of beneficiaries benefitting from the awareness sessions.  Directly reporting any security / field / office Incidents to the Gender Officer. Respecting and applying Islamic Relief policies and procedures such as “GBV Policy” and “Confidentiality Policy”. Performing any other duties requested by line manager. Person Specification Experience in working with GBV survivors and/or solid knowledge in GBV and protection field. Experience in delivering awareness sessions, workshops and facilitate meetings.
