About Pursue: Pursue is a Lebanon-based development consultancy committed to empowering local communities and beneficiaries in conflict, post-conflict, and fragile areas through the provision of evidence-based programmatic interventions, policy recommendations and training services. Pursue’s main areas of focus include refugees and IDP issues, youth empowerment, sexual and gender-based violence, institutional reform, democracy and governance, countering extremism, and human security. Pursue has had a registered office in Lebanon since 2010 employing a multinational core staff and has access to a wide network of national, regional, and international consultants. The company has an established track record of delivering projects and programmes for diverse clients in Lebanon, including the UK Government, US Government, UN agencies, the EU and others. PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Programme Manager is responsible for the implementation, financial management and monitoring and evaluation of programmes. The PM oversees daily operations in light with the company’s strategy and client requirements. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Programme Management and Implementation: Manage a team of seven members, including three researchers and four field staff.  Oversee programme implementation, as per stated objectives. Ensure contractual deliverables are met in a timely manner. Provide day-to-day support, guidance and coaching to programme staff. Facilitates focus groups discussions. Design and delivers training workshops as per the needs. Monitor and evaluates the programme on a regular basis, as per designed M&E plan. Ensure compliance with both client and company regulations and policies. Act as the security focal point for programme staff.  Financial Management: Plan, manage and allocate programme resources as per the budget and set objectives.   Ensure all proper financial controls are in place, with the support of the Finance Manager. Ensure financial compliance with both donor/client and company regulations. REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of three years’ experience in management positions. Proven facilitation skills. In-depth knowledge of research methods and tools. A Graduate degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Political Sciences or any related field.   Proven ability to manage programmes and projects. Experience in financial management. Experience in narrative and financial reporting, in line with donor /client regulations.  Leadership, organisational awareness and proven ability to deliver results in a diverse team environment. Arabic speaker with full professional proficiency in English.
