Basic Assistance Officer

MISSION   Goal / Purpose: Under the supervision of the Basic Assistance team leader, the Basic Assistance officer will carry out the identification of sites in the T+5 area (Tripoli, Minieh-Denniyeh, Batroun, Zgharta, Bcharreh and Koura), and collect accurate and reliable information about the residents of these sites in order to identify the most vulnerable families. RESPONSABILITIES General responsibilities  Regular identification of sites and households in the T+5 zone.   Action-related Responsibilities  Ensure the identification of all informal settlements and collective shelters in the area of implementation.  Carry out the identification of vulnerable households in the area of implementation.  Communicate with stakeholders.  Report the activities to the Basic Assistance team leader on a daily basis.  Maintain an accurate reporting and data management of your activities.  Represent SI when necessary (on field, during meetings, or in other SI programs).   TASKS   Identification  Ensure the identification of sites in the T+5 zone.  Identify the vulnerable households in the area of implementation by administering a household survey.  Identify households that may require a distribution of non-food-items.   Distribution  Organize distributions of non-food-items when needed with the support of the Basic Assistance team leader.  Carry out distributions of pins and cards for multi-purpose cash beneficiaries.  Provide the multi-purpose cash beneficiaries with adequate support to optimize the use of the assistance.  Ensure that all necessary documentation is signed by relevant stakeholders.   Communication with stakeholders  Introduce the activities to the targeted community and other stakeholders.  Establish focal points for the identification activities at the site and municipal level.  Share information on the program with other departments within the organizations.   Follow up  Engage in internal and external referral systems.  Support in the Rapid needs assessment of families affected by sudden emergencies (massive influx of refugees, evictions, floods…)              Inform the community about SI activities and answer any question related to the organization and the program   directing those concerned to appropriate agencies or the Hotline as suitable.   Reporting  Reporting on the progress of activities and challenges faced to the site Basic Assistance team leader on a daily basis.  Provide relevant updates on the context as observed in the field.   The above list is non-exhaustive and may be extended to include reasonable tasks and responsibilities within the framework of the project at the request of the Basic assistance Program Manager or Basic Assistance Team Leader.     CANDIDATE PROFILE    Background in social work  Previous experience in the humanitarian field  Knowledge of the implementation zone (T+5)  Strong social and communication skills  Comfortable in using tablets and android applications  Confortable in using excel  Interest in WaSH (Technical knowledge is an added skill)  Driving license     ORGANIZATIONAL CHART POSITION Reporting and functional relationships   Line manager: Basic Assistance – Basic Assistance Team leader
