Csmc Database And Reporting Assistant

Generic responsibilities Elaborate, maintain and update the CSMC outputs database on a daily basis with data collected (paper and electronic) Upload CSMC data to Activity Info & NRC’s internal reporting system (or any other platform as needed) Coordinate with the M&E department on data (sharing, monitoring, project indicators) Assist in organizing and undertake surveys, FGDs, and questionnaires to monitor programme implementation and impact; ensure collation of results Participate in data collection and monitoring activities, as required Prepare weekly target monitoring reports Any other relevant duties as requested by the CSMC Manager or Coordinator Critical interfaces By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other departments/units or persons. Relevant interfaces for this position are: M&E Coordinator, M&E Database Officer Coordination with staff from other NRC core competencies (Shelter, ICLA, Wash and Education) to ensure the sharing, triangulation and verification of relevant data 2.      Competencies Competencies are important in order for the employee and the organisation to deliver desired results. Professional competencies These are skills, knowledge and experience that are important for effective performance. Qualifications: Ordinary National Diploma (or above) in Social Work, social sciences, economics, development or other relevant field Experience in information management and analysis, and understanding of M&E approaches and techniques (desirable) Computer literate IT skills (knowledge of Excel essential; knowledge of Google Earth, Access, Mobenzi/Kobo or other database system preferred; knowledge of SPSS or other data analysis software a bonus) Generic professional competencies: Experience from working with CSMC projects in a humanitarian context Previous experience from working in complex and volatile context (desirable) Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities Good knowledge of English (speaking and writing) Problem solver Attention to detail Affinity with numbers 3. Behavioral competencies These are personal qualities that influence how successful people are in their job.
