North Coordinator

Job Description The position of North Lebanon Coordinator is a key position to coordinate and implement activities of Mada in Akkar in North Lebanon (full time position). Duties and responsibilities: Management of the capacity building initiative Support the groups and coops members by identifying the expertise and daily follow up needed, and ensuring that the technical aspects of the project are running in accordance with the initiative’s objectives and strategies: - Organize Empowerment and Capacity building activities for the beneficiaries - Provision of needed services (e.g.: accounting, communication, marketing) - Support the line of production by beneficiaries - Implementation of events and ceremonies -Manage expenses according to the budget, under the supervision of the Program coordinator and Finance department regulations - Report expenses forecasts and needs    North Coordinator responsibility: Manage the team in the field for sound implementation of activities, Conducting field visits on a daily basis Attending meetings with partners and key stakeholders Conduct regular evaluation and appraisal of implementation phases Propose modifications or corrective actions when needed Report to the Executive Coordinator all relevant information for a sound appraisal of implantationof the activities in conformity with the strategy and  Mada’s vision Conduct needs assessment and participate in proposals writing Provide Monitoring and Evaluation for the Implementation of the activities Prepare weekly progress reports and other relevant documents to be sent to the executive coordinator Contribute to the project’s Technical and Financial Reporting Ensure documentation of events and update of website content Capitalization Report to executive coordinator   Personal skills: • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. • Good managerial and leadership skills. • Good interpersonal and oral communication skills. • Excellent written English, with good command in spoken Arabic and English. • Computer literate with a high degree of proficiency and productivity. • Ability to work in a team. • Must be able to represent Mada to major organizations and associations working in the area • Ability to work effectively with project communities. • Experience in Project Cycle Management.   Experience required: 3 to 5 years   Education degree: Master’s Degree Field in Social Sciences, Human Rights, Political Studies, Public Administration, Project Management, or other relevant field.   Languages: Arabic: Fluent English: Fluent and/or French: Fluent   Location: Hrar office Working hours: 8.00 pm to 5.00 pm Starting date: February 1st, 2016   Deadline for application: 24/01   Cover letter and CV should be sent to vacancy@mada.org.lb Only short listed candidates will be contacted.
