Project Description:
Developing Rehabilitation Assistance to Schools and Teacher Improvement-II (D-RASATI-II) is a project that aims at enhancing student achievement in Lebanese public schools by training English teachers, developing extra-curricular activities, providing schools with ICT equipment and training, developing school leadership and building the capacity and tools necessary to support school improvement planning.
D-RASATI-II is a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded project. It started in October 2013 and expected to end in March 2016.
Position Description:
As part of the “Psychosocial Support activity” component, D-RASATI II will train 700 teachers/school administrators on “the Essentials for Psychosocial support” from March till May 2016. The training will take place in 16 sites across Lebanon. The sites are situated in the following areas: Aley, Beirut, Baakline, Baalbeck, Halba, Jib Jannine, Jounieh, Koura, Nabatieh, Saida, Tyr, Tripoli, and Zahle.
The Field Support Staff are required to act as the D-RASATI II focal points within the respectively allocated sites and their main task is to ensure smooth implementation of the roll-out trainings according to the previously agreed-upon procedures and to assist in troubleshooting any sudden issues and constant reporting of updates to the D-RASATI II team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Tasks include but not limited to:
- Provide daily administrative support at the training location;
- Support the D-RASATI II Team in assessing the training needs, data entry, etc.;
- Make sure that all logistical aspects of the training are operational and in place;
- Ensure and promote effective and appropriate use of assets and resources in order to maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate with D-RASATI team and service providers (when needed) to guarantee precision deliverables (catering, training documents, other requirements);
- Act respectfully as a D-RASATI II field focal point and assist the trainers and the participants in whatever inquiries / requests they have.
- Handle all attendance sheets and log books relating to inventory, supplies, and equipment as required.
- Report on daily basis the data collected through the agreed-upon reporting methods to the relevant D-RASATI focal point.
- Respond to any arising issues / troubleshoot as briefed and trained in advance with the D-RASATI II Team;
- Support the technical, finance and administrative teams in any relevant tasks required;
- Support in data entry, validation and verification; filling questionnaires and surveys
- Support in assessing training site’s need;
- Filing documentation and material;
- Perform any other duties assigned by the project;

- Very good coordination skills / ability to follow up on various tasks in parallel
- Readiness to learn and adapt to new techniques and approaches.
- Good conflict resolution skills
- Maintains confidentiality and respect towards colleagues and beneficiaries.
- Good interpersonal and written and oral communication skills
- Team player and adaptable to working under pressure and handling multiple tasks.
- Good reporting skills.
- Computer skills: proficiency in current office software applications
- Languages: Proficiency in English and Arabic.
- Preference of applicants residing in the areas listed above.
