GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Agronomist Field Officer will be responsible of daily implementation of ACF FSL department’s agriculture and other FSL activities in Baalbek-Hermel area. The Officer will be tasked to implement the weekly plans in a quality manner and to report problems encountered during the implementation to the Agronomist / Supervisor.  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES Good knowledge of Vegetable gardening, livestock management, dairy processing, food security and livelihoods 1 year experience working in agriculture sector Experience in humanitarian and development organizations is desirable Good team worker Good listener High communication skills Good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and good skills in smart phones  DETAILED OBJECTIVES AND TASKS Objective 1: To ensure timely and quality implementation of agriculture activities To actively engage in the beneficiary selection process under the guidance of Agronomist / Supervisor To provide support to the Agronomist /Supervisor for the design of the agriculture activities (gardens, livestock farming, etc.) To provide support the Agronomist / Supervisor and HoP in the design of the trainings to be provided to agriculture program participants To conduct agriculture activities in the field under the guidance of Agronomist / Supervisor (input distribution, trainings, set up, maintenance, monitoring, reporting, etc.) To support ACF’s implementing partners activities upon the request of Agronomist / Supervisor and/or HoP To conduct household visits, focus group discussions and key informant interviews upon the request of supervisors To provide verbal and written reports on the activities to the Agronomist / Supervisor on the agreed frequency Objective 2: To ensure timely and quality implementation of awareness raising sessions and other type of trainings To actively support the implementation of nutrition awareness raising sessions upon request of Agronomist / Supervisor To conduct culinary sessions under the guidance of Agronomist / Supervisor To actively engage in provision of any FSL related trainings upon the request of HoP To provide verbal and written reports on the activities to the Agronomist / Supervisor on the agreed frequency Objective 3: To ensure timely distribution and follow up of food security and livelihoods items To distribute food security and livelihoods program materials in line with the assignments given by the Agronomist / Supervisor To provide verbal and written reports on the activities to the Agronomist / Supervisor on the agreed frequency Objective 4: To support other humanitarian activities of ACF upon the request of HoP To support the emergency interventions of ACF upon the request of HoP To support ACF assessment and monitoring activities of ACF upon the request of HoP To attend meetings with farmer’s cooperatives, beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries upon the request of HoP Objective 5: Security Respect the security rules specified in the mission and base security plan and perform the security management tasks that can be assigned in its protocols. Communicate to the security managers of the working location any security related information or noncompliance with the security plan.
