KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Programme Implementation:
Ensure that the community engagement and mobilisation for all target groups including schools in the community are implemented as per the set guidelines.
Support in the management of the Media firm hired for the design of a public outreach and awareness campaign.
Ensure the implementation of designed public outreach and awareness raising activities in project area.
Support on the preparation of activities for the upcoming events, with focus on a national conference aimed at sharing project findings.
Ensure that all activities and events take gender and protection issues fully into account. This includes mechanisms to enable vulnerable groups to participate in decision making around water and public health issues.
All work must be carried out in a way that is sensitive to community needs and gender issues. In particular to promote the full and equal participation of women in all aspects of the work and to ensure that Oxfam’s response is in line with the needs of the affected people.
Programme planning:
Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings with other programme staff.
Develop work plans against defined project activities
Coordination:
Ensure all activities are developed and implemented in close coordination with host community, local leaders and beneficiaries.
Work closely with the WASH coordinator and Media officer to ensure the proper implementation of the public outreach and awareness activities.
Ensure high level of communication and coordination with the support teams – Logistics and Finance.
Work closely with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Assessment and Learning (MEAL) team to monitor the implementation of the project activities such as the public outreach sessions, FGDs and other community engagement activities.
Program reporting
Ensure the proper documentation of the results of the monitoring activities.
Ensure proper follow up on all the activities that are carried out with the community timely update of the activity matrix.
Contribute on project interim and final reporting.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:

Good knowledge of the Lebanon water sector (E), and the Bekaa in particular (D)
Knowledge of water related issues and programming in support of addressing long term vulnerability within Lebanon (D)
Understanding of emerging trends and challenges in water for domestic and productive use and potential solutions to the challenges within Lebanon (D)
Experience at working with communities and civil society organisations, especially in supporting their linking of on-the-ground issues to national-level change (E)
Proven ability to communicate easily and readily verbally and in written form, fast delivery of a substantial workload with completed, specific planned deliverables. (E)
Team player, self-motivated, ability to work with little supervision. (E)
Fluent in written and spoken Arabic (E)
