The position
Position Title : Sports Field Coordinator
Reports to : Sports Program Manager
Work Station : 1 for Central Bekaa-1 for Akkar- 1 for Ein El Helwi
Work hours : From 8:30AM till 4:00PM
Period : 1 year renewable after evaluation with 3 months’ probation period.
Position Summary:
In response to the ongoing Syria crisis and based on a recent needs assessment, ANERA is leading a UNICEF funded non-formal education program for “Quick Impact Skills Development for Adolescents Affected by the Syria Crisis”. The Sports Field Coordinator will support the project partners (mainly sports clubs) in their respective area of operations in ensuring the achievement of desired objectives and results. He/she will follow up on the day-to-day activities of the project and support data collection efforts at the field implementation level based on tools and methods set by ANERA program manager.
Responsibilities
The sports field coordinator will be responsible for:
Mapping of available youth clubs, scout teams and other youth led or youth service providers in the integrated areas
Recruitment/reach out to beneficiaries from the Syrian refugees and host communities to ensure wide and fair participation in program activities.
Conduct needs assessments for sports clubs prior to setting the capacity building program that targets both; youth and host communities
Assist in the organization, logistics and preparations of trainings, tournaments and other planned events in the targeted villages
Support ANERA Public Health Team in the planning and organization of Thematic Tournaments and Open Health Days
Maintain proper and updated monitoring of all field activities with proper documentation of such monitoring activities including list of participants, attendance, questionnaires, pre and post tests
Act as a focal point of partners and all partner NGOs, as well as other relevant stakeholders and Municipalities.
Manage and coordinate local and field visits for project manager or any concerned parties.
Submit monthly reports on development of activities, results, challenges and achievements of project as per templates
Perform other tasks as the need arises
