About the jobThe CEL assistant is in charge of preparing and implementing all community empowerment and livelihood activities, in his/her AORDuties• Raise awareness about the CEL initiatives and mobilizing communities actors to submit proposals. Revise and compile weekly and monthly reports of the MSA activities.• Support CEL officer in establishing committees, training them and support the CEL Officer in designing projects based on the needs. Take responsibility of data entry for all the documents.• Conduct needs assessments with host and refugee communities including municipalities, community representatives and youth (maintaining gender balance) in coordination with the CEL Officer.• Conduct FGDs with host and refugee communities to identify common priorities for a particular area in coordination with CEL Officer.• Assist members of the CSP Committee in project design and the submission process. Assist committees and applicants in LH project development and the submission process. Assist in trainings and workshops for the municipality and community members.Once projects are approved, supply resources and support in the implementation of the projects. Ensure full accountability to communities (and DRC) of the use of project funds• Inform communities of project value—both monetary and social impact--and provide regular updates on all expenditure on projects to CEL Officer.• Monitor project implementation on a regular basis and participate in periodic reviews of the program, providing support where needed. Take responsibility of data entry for all the documents.• Assist in preparation for an evaluation report about the different projects within the AOR highlighting strengths, weaknesses, achievements, issues for all projects implemented and implementer’s capacity.
About youTo be successful in this role you must have a High School Diploma and Minimum 2 years experience in similar field.Ideally you will also have a Bachelor Degree in social field, and Experience with NGO and Experience in development projects or community mobilization.
We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant an open ended contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from 15th of October 2015 and be willing and able to work in Zahle.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B1, equivalent to USD 1,204 per month.
