Centre Director Erp Lebanon

Summary of the position: The IACC (Interim Alternative Care Centre) is a centre in Khonshara (Metn region) that temporarily hosts Syrian refugees residing in Lebanon. The children are admitted to the centre because of protection issues. The IACC hosts the children for a temporary period. The goal is to reintegrate them with their (extended) families. If this is not possible, long-term institutional care will be sought. At the IACC, the children receive 24/7 care and there is non-formal education (if possible the children go to formal education). The IACC also welcomes Syrian children from the neighbourhood for the non-formal education.    We are looking for a pro-active centre director who will be responsible for ensuring the successful and timely implementation and management of the IACC. He/she should have experience in child protection, managing staff and he/she should be willing to make the extra mile. He/she will be line managed by the ERP Project Coordinator. The contract is initially for six months with the possibility of extension depending on the needs. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning -Aligning project activities of the IACC according to SOS CVI project documentation and reporting any deviances therein to the ERP Coordinator. -Revising and adjusting SOS CVI project documentation where necessary. HR Management -Leading and managing a diverse team of, among others, case managers, educators, care givers, office and domestic staff (around 15-20 co-workers) -Participate and arrange program schedule to ensure 24/7/365 coverage, including emergency backup staffing. -Responsible for ensuring fair and transparent recruitment for the IACC. Financial Management -Responsible for ensuring the correct use of funds in the IACC Responsible for reporting to the ERP Coordinator any deviances therein. Safety and Security Management -Ensure the safety and security of the IACC, the staff and its residents -Responsible for adhering to and implementing the SOS CVI local security plan. -Maintain program and beneficiary confidentiality, including former beneficiaries. Child Protection -Responsible for ensuring adherence to the SOS CVI Child Protection Policy in the IACC. -Responsible for ensuring adherence to admission criteria based on the best interest of the child. Personal and technical Qualifications: Passionate about helping people improve their lives; Good organisational skills, problem solver, team player, motivator; Ability to work under pressure.
