Local Field Officer

Main Duties and responsibilities :   -       Ensures the socialization of the project’s implementation methodology with the municipalities, and schools’ staff including monitoring and reporting tools related to the CFW and public works -       Support the Project Manager on conducting detailed reassessment of each intervention prior to the agreement signing between the schools’ principles and INTERSOS. -       Establish and maintain excellent relationships with the 3 respective municipalities and schools’ staff. -       Ensures the planning, implementation and monitoring/evaluation of the 3 interventions in 3 municipalities in the Bekaa (Rashaya) as per targets as included in the project description, in close cooperation and under the supervision of the Project Manager.   -       Support the project manager in the organisation and conducting of a project kick-off and presentation/sharing of project strategy with municipalities and schools’ managers, ensuring their understanding of the process. -       Ensure the successful completion of 3 interventions: start with a detailed reassessment and planning of each intervention, including the budget and procurement procedures, with the stakeholders involved. -       Verification on the targeting of beneficiaries for “Cash for Work”. -       Monitor the payment to workers, with required support documents. -       Translation English-Arabic ensuring the full involvement of the Project Manager in the meetings with all the stakeholders involved in the project. -       Conduct by appointment, meetings with the Project Manager to review the planning and discuss the main concerns to focus on for the upcoming period. -       Ensure fluent chain of information/data transfer from field to INTERSOS office in Zahle, Bekaa. -       Contribute to participatory processes to inform/develop relevant response strategies for conflict mitigation and enhanced social cohesion.       -       In close coordination with the Project Manager Undertake continuous announced and unannounced field visits to the 3 intervention sites to provide technical guidance and supervision to the team and to monitor the progress and quality of the different project activities. -       Ensure monitoring and verification for the targeting of the CFW beneficiaries. -       Ensure good practice and system for internal and external referral of most vulnerable cases, in close coordination and collaboration with the INTERSOS Protection Officer responsible for Case Management (CM) in the Bekaa. -       Ensure quality reporting on achievements through daily short briefings, monthly and weekly planning presented against weekly and monthly performance reports containing clear quantitative and qualitative information related to the activities.
