Ecd Specialist

THE PURPOSE OF THE CONSULTANCY:  World Vision is looking for an Early Childhood Development Specialist with a strong experience in Care for Child Development (CCD) program. The consultants’ main roles are to support the implementation of the Early Childhood Development programme located in the Bekaa area by training staff on Care for Child development guide (CCD) and providing support when needed.  The themes to be covered by the consultancy are requested as follows: Training of Trainers (TOT) to 13 members on Early Childhood development /Care for Child Development (CCD) guide for improving the care of young children while including practical sessions. Coach the trained staff, including one day follow-up after the training based on needs observed. Contribute to quality improvement in the Arabic translation of the current CCD training guide content, lessons and activities. Support in designing M&E system by providing relevant content related input to responsible staff. Revising and re editing the translation of the CCD guide in Arabic. Make recommendations for the use of appropriate modules and materials in the ECD programmes. DELIVERABLES: Inception Report, including developing pre-assessment and training plan, agenda and material, facilitating the training for 1 days   ( All calculated as 3 Working days) Revised Care for Child Development guide (CCD) in Arabic. ( calculated as 3 days) Final report, including developing M&E tool/indicators ( calculated as 2 days) Coaching for relevant staff ( calculated as 1 day ) Total 9 Working Days. CONSULTANT QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Educational background in ECD Several years’ experience in CCD or ECD Understanding of regional context Experience in facilitating trainings Great communication skills Good at time management Good computer skills Ability to act with appropriate respect towards audience  DURATION OF THE CONSULTANCY:   The consultant will provide services for WVL in the beginning of December.
