Field Officer Beirut

General objective of the job   The Field Officer monitors and supports the field, and maintains all the project. S/he will make sure that the targeted number is reached while supporting the partners and providing them partners with the assessed needs.   Position in the organisation   The Field Officer is part of the Emergency Program Department reporting to the project coordinator. S/he does not manage staff. S/he collaborates with the specialists within the Quality Department.     Result areas   1. Conducting regular field visits   Assesses partner performance and  to ensures the quality of the project supporting in the process of monitoring and evaluation Ensures, promotes and facilitates that the principles of child protection and child participation are integrated into all project activities Meets with school directors, SDCs supervisors, social workers to discuss and follow up on various issues Monitors the undergoing activities in the field Checks the safety of classrooms Coordinates with teachers and children to discuss possible improvements Collects monthly reports Maintains good relationships with the centres Reports on the alignment of the implemented activities with the child safety policy Follows up on the second shift issues   Result: Field visits are conducted in such a matter that all issues are discussed and all concerns are reported.   2.         Coordinating and supporting logistics   Timely identifies, informs and discusses any issues with his/her supervisor Represent WCH Lebanon in relevant working groups and other coordination platforms. Coordinates the logistics and administration of the project. Liaises and coordinates with the government/ UN agencies and National-International NGOs Coordinate trainings, workshops and conferences. Liaises with professional counterparts of (inter)national authorities and organizations; Provides the Child protection Coordinator with information regarding the available services and organizations operating in the working area Ensures child protection concerns are communicated to the Child Protection working groups   Result: Logistics are conducted in such a way that requests are answered and Child Safety/ Protection concerns are reported.       3.         Handling Administration activities   Prepares and writes monthly reports as War Child template, and submits to the supervisor on the date identified. Develops and maintains a filing system of centres     Result: administration of activities are handled in such a way that a filing system is in place and reports are delivered on time.     Knowledge and Experience   Degree in social sciences or related field At least 2 years of relevant experience Preferably previous experience working with children/refuges/vulnerable populations   Skills and Competencies   Strong communication skills Strong computer skills Fluency in Arabic Strong English skills Flexibility Cultural sensitivity
