We are looking for a highly qualified candidate who can fit the position of Driver in DRC Tripoli Office Who are we?DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the jobHelp in implementing DRC projects to assist refugees through driving to the field sites, main office and other field offices: Duties•Drives vehicles responsibly according to DRC’s driver manual.•Understands and follows all traffic rules and regulations according to DRC Lebanon vehicle policy.•The assigned driver is responsible to maintain vehicle in a usable condition and maintain logbooks, refueling, oil, maintenance and cleaning etc. •Applying standard procedures in case of accident with a written report to the supervisor.•Flexibility with time (working up to 48 hours per week)•Any other duties assigned by the supervisor. About youTo be successful in this role you must have High School level of Education, Fair English, also 2 years experience in similar field.Ideally you will also have Good spoken English and experience with NGO.   We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract till the end of December 2015, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from November 2015 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff.
