Document Purpose World Vision Lebanon is looking for a short term professional expert with a strong background and experience in developing curriculums and ToTs on Early Childhood Education (3-6 years old) Homeschooling. This document outlines the goals of the Early Childhood Education (3-6 years old) Homeschooling Development and ToT, the responsibilities of World Vision (first party), and the responsibilities of potential contracted second parties. It also defines the process interested second parties must undergo in order to bid for contract fulfillment, as well as a timeframe for overall project success.   Project Description The “Homeschooling” curriculum emerges from a need to design a local contextualized training curriculum targeting parents of children aged 3-6.  The curriculum has to include an interactive and creative set of 10 sessions, a facilitation guide, and a resources annex document in Arabic. It aims at equipping parents with tools and skills on how to actively accompany their children in their development phases, and to build their capacity by creating a learning environment inside their homes with basic material. Empower the refugee community to provide effective homeschooling for their children. After development of the curriculum, a 3 days ToT has to be provided to WVL focal staff, as well as 4 coaching days in the field.   Consultancy for the curriculum development will run between December 1, 2015 and January 30, 2016, for a total of 23 working days.(15 days of curriculum development and design, 4 days for ToT preparation and delivery, 3 field coaching days in various locations in Lebanon, 1 day for final report).   Contractor (Second Party) Specifications A qualified candidate for the second party contractor must: Be sufficiently able to fulfill contract requirements within specified timeframe. Strong training skills with training experience. Significant technical expertise in  Early Childhood Education and Parenting skills Strong experience in relevant fields of Education and protection issues. Familiar with civil society and NGO engagement.  Good analytical and critical thinking. Preference to candidate with previous curriculum development experience. Preference to candidate with field experience.    Excellent writing skills, with thorough knowledge of Arabic and English   Curriculum Specifications The curriculum designed by the second party must: Be reviewed and approved by World Vision technical committee. Successfully engage parents of children aged 3-6 in the topic of Homeschooling. The curriculum should respect the Lebanese context taking into consideration different cultures ( Syrian Refugees), adapted to all Lebanese and Syrian areas of intervention.   Party Responsibilities World Vision (First Party) The first party agrees to: Provide sufficient project funding as outlined in first party-second party agreement. Provide general oversight as necessary.   Contractor (Second Party) The second party agrees to: Develop a 10 active parenting sessions’ curriculum, a facilitation guide, and a resources annex document, in line with first party specifications (see above) and budget. Fully design the curriculum, facilitation guide and annex document. Provide regular update to WVL technical team on curriculum development progress and incorporate feed-back and comments provided by the team. Prepare and conduct a 3 days ToT for WVL focal staff. Provide 3 field coaching days in various locations in Lebanon. Submit a final report including lessons learned and recommendations from training and coaching. Maintain the visibility of World Vision Lebanon during all phases of the project, and preserve property rights for WVL.   Project Timeframe Bids submitted: November 30th  2015 Contract signed: Dec 7th 2015 Delivery of first draft of curriculum: Dec 24th 2015 Delivery of finalized curriculum: January 15th 2016 Training of Trainers: 3rd week of January ( 25th to 28th of January) Coaching sessions: 1st of February 2016      Required Documents for Bid Potential second party must submit the following documents:   Candidate CV and expression of interest. Proposed fees, detailing: Daily rate for provision of consultancy Plan and timeline for progressive delivery of the different phases of consultancy.
