Researcher (Situational Awareness And Risk Analysis)

Role The Researcher (Situational Awareness and Risk Analysis) will work in the Lebanon Research Unitcomprising two other Researchers. They will collaborate with the Lebanon Research Unit to develop a rigorous quantitative andqualitative methodology. The role of the Researcher (Situational Awareness and Risk Analysis) will be to carry out in-depthinterdisciplinary research into particular locations in Lebanon. Research will examine topicsincluding, how conflict is managed, how law and order is delivered, how services and goods aredelivered, and the impact of the Syrian conflict and refugee crisis on the location. The Researcher(Situational Awareness and Risk Analysis) will research these topics to give an understanding of thefeasibility and best methodology for the implementation of projects. The Researcher (SituationalAwareness and Risk Analysis) will also use this situational awareness to enumerate and grade therisks to projects and its stakeholders, and define risk management approaches. The Researcher (Situational Awareness and Risk Analysis) will work in a self-directed manner. Inaddition to producing high quality work to tight deadlines, they will report regularly to provide theLebanon Research Unit with a running understanding of the locations in question. Deliverables Interdisciplinary literature review on the locations; Development of suitable methodology for the Situation Awareness and Risk Analysis  research; Tailored Situational Awareness and Risk Analysis report on particular locations in Lebanon;  and Evidence-grounded and actionable recommendations for the implementation of a projects in  the locations under study.
