Senior Programme Assistant (Livelihoods)

Under the overall guidance of the Chief of Mission, and the Emergency Response and Stabilization Coordinator, and the direct supervision of the Livelihoods Programme Officer in Beirut, the Livelihoods Programme Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the daily technical  implementation, monitoring and reporting of IOM livelihoods activities and for  maintaining proper coordination with targeted  communities and local government. Assist in  implementation and monitoring  of the livelihood programme to ensure that projects are completed within the given timeline and achieve their stated objectives; Provide administrative support for the design and planning process for new livelihoods projects; Act as the administrative focal point for Livelihoods programme (help prepare Purchase Requests and Payment requests for all items needed for in-kind grants, cash for Work and to equipment/office related requests) Support with assessments and preparing business plans for livelihoods projects  Assist in Reporting and data-management of the livelihoods programme (reporting to Activity Info, contribution to Sitreps, internal IOM reporting, etc);  Assist in monitoring and evaluation of the livelihoods programme activities (organize field visits, analize data, etc.); provide inputs for the overall Emergency Response and Stabilization M&E system. Identify and report implementation issues and work with field teams to propose solutions As required, attend Livelihoods sectoral meetings and events representing IOM’s livelihoods programming and participating in inter-agency planning processes Liaise with other livelihood related UN agencies, national and international NGOs and GoL entities as needed Provide periodic reporting on implementation and progress  of livelihood activities
