Senior Health Officer - Bekaa

Summary and Background: The Senior Health Officer will be in charge of supervising the implementation of the health program by the health officers. The SHO will oversee all tasks related to the supported health services in addition to coordinating with the surrounding community.   Main Tasks: Closely coordinate with the Health Officers to monitor the implementation of the various components of the PHC program at the supported facilities and MMUs Conduct regular field visits to supervise the health program activities Ensure all coordination is done by the health officers to guarantee support by program assistants, pharmacists and logistics team Conduct needs assessments and participatory assessments to identify gaps and improvements Identify gaps and assess the progress of the program Follow up on cases referred to IMC by other partners. Ensure proper implementation of the various components of the mother and child health care programs between the community and the health facilities. Work closely with the Medical Consultant for follow up on medical cases Participate in the sectorial meetings and other stakeholder meeting as needed Coordinate with the Health Officer to collect weekly data and monthly reports Prepare the weekly sitreps and send on to the M&E officer Coordinate with the M&E Officer to collect all requested data and analysis. Report back on a daily basis to the area manager on all activities in the field Perform any other duties as required
