To Develop a network of contacts through other NGOs, UNDSS, Government agencies and other useful contacts and to act as the primary representative for DRC on safety and access related matters in Akkar. In addition to develop a network of contact with all municipalities and key stakeholders in Akkar area to support operations of DRC. Duties• Track staff and vehicles movement and clearance for field activities• Follow up on the security situation in Akkar• Send advisories and security messages• Monitor the evolving situation in the area of DRC operations in coordination with other actors as per regional, country and programme guidelines• Conduct regular Security Risk Assessments (SRAs) as per DRCpolicy• Assist with the implementation of regional security policies, protocols and procedures related to the safe Implementation of program activities• Analysis trends which can impact safety and other risks factors for DRC in Akkar and report and advice Accordingly About youTo be successful in this role you must have Bachelor degree preferably in related fieldand 1 or 2 years’ experience as safety focal point. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 6 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from November 2015 and be willing and able to work in Kobayat Akkar.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff.
