Data Base Officer

Under the direct responsibility of the Program Coordinator, in close collaboration with the Project Manager and monitoring teams, you will have to: Main tasks and responsibilities 1.         Ensure the global quality of the data entry:    Create and managing the central database and all others database necessary to the mission (hotline, complaint, DB from others NGO etc). programming  XlS Form for ODK to be uploaded to ONA/formhub server Managing SIF Database server On ONA/formhub server. Enter the data collected by the field team in the database on electronic version: -Assessment information -Follow up information -Distribution information -Monitoring information   Ensure quality of the data entered: -Ensure all data entered are correct -Cross check with paper versions -correct tablets data   Checking for duplicates beneficiaries with another NGO/UN using RAIS tools. Ensure training for the field team on the data collection using both paper or tablets Training social workers and volunteers on new surveys and visits procedures. Preparing beneficiaries lists’ to be visited by social workers. Preparing ATM distribution lists. Manage and update daily Bank list for monthly cash transfer Maintenance of Samsung tablets Prepare the tablets for the field  team   2.         reporting Preparing narrative reports monthly Generates comprehensive quantitative data reports on activities and key indicators Data analysis and creating charts, figures and tables using Excel monhly. Monitoring beneficiary’s bank accounts balances for any problems such high balances or active cards to be resolved. Preparing weekly report for beneficiaries account balances. Preparing files loader and activator of ATM cards. Attending UNHCR training on RAIS updates and Activity Info. Meeting with SIF staff when it's required. Propose and ensure adaption’s of the database according to the project’s needs, Report any discrepancies between the database and the documents used by the teams on the field    Regularly report to the PM and the Program Coordinator about your work  Daily report on quantity of data entered Daily report of issues encountered Extract data upon Program Coordinator Project Manager request Keep clear files in need to be entered in database Range all files in proper place and name in proper way all documents (yy/mm/dd name_of_file) Respect the total confidentiality of the data collected and entered Ensure to never speak about data out Ensure security of the database and files Respect beneficiary confidentiality. Respect and promote SIF’s Policies and report to your line manager any non-respect of SIF’s policies amongst the teams or partners. Address needs and requests in a professional way. Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others. Always interact with children with the presence of their parents or caregivers Always respect a refusal of treatment. Demonstrate motivation at work. Demonstrate willingness to improve own knowledge and skills by participating actively in any training sessions, capacity building activities… Participate in the different activities that are common to all team members Respect each team member’s positions, work, and specialty Adapt to special situations or demands from supervisor (reporting, etc) 4.         Arrange files:  5.         Ensure confidentiality of the data management:  6.         Demonstrate an ethic and professional practice:  7.         Demonstrate willingness to improve professional competences and abilities to increase care quality:    THE CANDIDATE’S REQUIREMENTS (include various soft skills & language skills)  KNOWLEDGE  Excellent knowledge of the office package including progress Good knowledge of ODK, tableau public, ArcGis software, RAIS. Knowledge on social assistance, vulnerability and disability is an asset  SKILLS  Good communication and listening skills Common sense Proactive Excellent computer skills ( EXCEL) mandatory PERSONAL QUALITIES  Adaptation to specific working conditions Capacity to work in team and autonomously Capacity to work in an multidisciplinary and multicultural team Dynamism, high level of motivation Flexibility and availability Interest for psychosocial work and field work Willingness to learn new skills and/or approaches Good capacity to interact with members of the team and different communities  LANGUAGES  Arabic English mandatory French is a plus  EXPERIENCE Professional experience in data and monitoring is mandatory INGO working experience is a must
