Who are we?The Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. More than 200.000 Syrian refugees have received assistance from the Danish Refugee Council since the beginning of the crisis.For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the jobUnder the overall supervision of the head of office and the direct supervision of the CSMC (Collective Site Management and Coordination) Program Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of all DRC's operations in collective settlements located in his/her area of responsibility. Duties•Facilitate the establishment and support the functioning of Committees in collective settlements.•Ensure equal participation of women in all processes. •Support Committees trough trainings, awareness raising sessions and workshops according to the needs identified.•Design communication materials to ensure the effective dissemination of key messages targeting both the refugees and the host community.•Provide feedback on refugee’s needs and concerns on regular bases to DRC programme manager and other relevant stakeholders.•Follow up the adequate maintenance of site infrastructure; monitor the agreed delivery of services and protection by all partners. Coordinate and advocate with other partners when gaps or duplication are identified.•Follow up on identification of refugees households to be relocated in the Collective Centres with a focus on ensuring timely allocation of empty housing units. •Provide support, leadership and supervision to Collective Centre Management Team.•Organize and share tasks among the team. About youTo be successful in this role you must have:Completed first's degree from an accredited academic institution, preferably in Political or Social Sciences, Business Administration, Migration Studies, International Relations and/or Law;Ideally you will also have:Completed Master's degree from an accredited academic institution, preferably in Political or Social Sciences, Business Administration, Migration Studies, International Relations and/or Law; We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a Six month contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance.
