Gbv Officer

Main  Objectives: To supervise, organize and report on protection activities targeting girls and women, as well as to integrate a GBV aspect into child protection programming. Responsible of the planning, implementation and reporting of all protection activities targeting girls and women in the gateways covered by field office, as well as of the referral of GBV cases.   Main Responsabilities: Support the identification of beneficiaries and suitable sites/locations for the implementation of project activities and participate in needs assessments and collecting relevant data. Participate in the design of project activities, monitoring systems and capacity building activities, with a focus on women and girls Liaise with the health/nutrition team for joint activities Conduct risk assessment visits to identify risks faced by women and girls in their settlements  and mitigate these risks through referrals to other partners, provision of in-house services and advocacy Organise, advise on and participate in the Safety Audits Work with the Case Manager to improve pathways for referral for GBV cases Supervise activities in Women Safe Spaces (emotional support, vocational trainings..) in collaboration with the Protection Specialist and Field Coordinator Support, coach and mentor Protection Assistants, community animators and volunteers, monitor their work on the ground and provide guidance and oversight   Provide technical advice and logistical support for sensitization sessions for women, children and caregivers on GBV related issues and capacity building activities for local partners Participate in writing of all required protection reports (for AVSI, donors, partners, etc) and work in close collaboration with the M&E Officer (Protection) for data reporting and analysis Perform any other relevant duties as required
