Purpose of the Position:
The main role of the Clinical Psychologist is the diagnosing or evaluation of the mental and emotional disorders of individuals by using one of the following: observation, interview, and/or psychological tests, and formulation of programs of treatment.
Main Responsibilities about the position:
Assess the individual needs, abilities or behaviour using different methods such as interviews and direct observation of behaviour;
Work within a team which might include doctors, nurses, social workers, education professionals, psychiatrists and therapists
Monitor appropriate treatment programmes such as therapy, counselling or advice, in collaboration with other professionals;
Offer therapy and treatments related to mental health problems such as: anxiety, depression, addiction, social and interpersonal problems and challenging behaviour;
Intervention (primary, secondary and tertiary levels): to individuals, families and groups;
Develop and evaluate services provided to different groups
Skills and qualifications:
A bachelor degree in Psychology is a minimum requirement.
Previous experience will be an asset.
Outstanding communication skills, reporting skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
Clinical psychologists should demonstrate self-awareness, objectivity, a strong desire to help others
