Protection Worker (1 Male / 1 Female)

Protection workers are generally social workers who deal specifically with assessing the care of women and minors. A large part of protection officer's job deals with ensuring children do not live in harmful or threatening environments. They have both a reactive and proactive role. As a reactive role they deal with situations that arise where a child is in need and requires support. As a proactive role they keep an eye on particular families or children who are at high risk and provide on-going support. Job duties includes but not limited to: Make frequent field visits, mostly to refugees Undertake situational analysis and need assessments, participating in complaint investigation, home assessment, advising services, and others Prioritize child protection issues and design prevention and response programs and initiatives. Identify methods and programs; make recommendations on how to fill gaps. Provide technical guidance and direction for effective planning, implementation and monitoring of agreed child protection plans including the psychosocial recovery and assistance to vulnerable children and their families. To be an active member of the team by providing new ideas, and feedbacks to the direct supervisor Preparing reports Participate in relevant coordination meetings and working groups Administrative Office Work Perform any other duties as agreed and required by the supervisor Qualifications/Requirements: Oral and written communication skill in Arabic.  Oral and written communication skill in English.  Good MS Office skills Demonstrated capacity to innovate and think creatively Excellent organizational and interpersonal capabilities Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Willingness to work in Semkanieh El Chouf or neighbor villages. Lebanese male with Driver’s license  Proximity to AMURT’s Semkanieh office. Immediate availability to take up position if selected.
