Csmc Volunteer

We are looking for highly qualified individual with a mind set to achieve success in a humanitarian organisation working in a challenging but interesting environment. Who are we?The Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. More than 200.000 Syrian refugees have received assistance from the Danish Refugee Council since the beginning of the crisis.For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk   Duties•Facilitate the establishment and support the functioning of Collective sites committees with a particular attention to vulnerable groups and/or persons.•Facilitate focus group discussions/workshops with refugees of different ages and gender to identify their needs and concerns.•Identify vulnerable cases in their area of responsibilities and coordinate with the Collective Site Management Assistant to report to the Collective Site Management manager.•Facilitate the conduction of management meeting and write the minutes.•Conduct surveys and data collection within the Collective Site as directed.•Identify, coordinate and/or collaborate with other service providers or DRC units’ staff. Share information and help them liaising with Collective Site committees or focal point in order to improve access to and quality of service provision.•Monitor service provision and Collective Sites status aiming at ensuring refugees dignity. Report immediately any significant changes, events, protection or security threat to the Collective Sites Management officer.Perform other duties as may be assigned by the CSMC Manager. About youTo be successful in this role you must have:1) Experience of participating in community based organization or volunteering or social work.   2) Experience in community mobilization and/or coordination and/or information management.•Essential; Completed Secondary School and pursuing University education •Proven ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines;•Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel)•Minimum of 1 year relevant working experience•Fair in English and Arabic Ideally you will also have:•University degree in social affairs or related area;•Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility;•Previous experience in CSMC work in INGO's We offerAn interesting volunteering experience in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a volunteering contract for about one month, and able to work in Kobayat Akkar.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms for National staff.
