Page 2 2.2 FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT Describe the accountabilities, responsibilities and authorities associated with the position Accountability (key results that will be achieved) - Upgraded version of Spongebase released - Interactive dashboards for sectors updated - Data cleaning support given to the IM team - Information sharing portal kept up to date Responsibility (process and functions undertaken to achieve results) - Continue the development of http://spongebase.org: an interactive open source online map built using the following technologies:  HTML  Javascript  Python - To finalize inter-agency interactive dashboards http://data.unhcr.org/lebanon/dashboards/ : An interactive data visualization that allows users to explore the wealth of data being reported by over 100 agencies in a dynamic way. The dashboards are built using HTML, Javascript & D3. - Data cleaning and management of information sharing portal http://data.unhcr.org/lebanon :  Upload files and documents to information sharing portal  Ensure calendar of meetings is up-to-date - Support in data analysis and monthly reporting - The intern may be requested to perform additional task according to the needs of the IM unit.

2.4 ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Define the educational background, the relevant job experience and the language(s) that are essential to perform the work of the position.

- Education: University degree in information technology, compute science, demography, statistics, or any related area /or should be currently completing the studies.
- Experience: Experience in the area of programme development (HTML, Javascript, CSS are essential)
- Interest in and/or some experience in development assistance, especially in the development field
- Language Requirements: Excellent English skills are essential. Arabic is an advantage but not required.

2.5 DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES Describe any experience or knowledge that would be an asset, such as: UNHCR Learning Programmes, other training, additional languages, Field/HQs experience, etc.
- Excellent attention to details and determination to meet deadlines
- Experience in the area of programme (D3, PHP and Python are desirable).
Experience with RDBMS is also desirable.
- Flexible and positive attitude - Possesses integrity and identification with UN’s values and ethical standards - Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
- Able to work successfully in a multi-cultural, multi-confessional environment.
