Under the supervision and guidance of the Head of Programs and supported by MENTOR Program Manager, the MEAL Officer will be responsible for implementation and monitoring and evaluation of USG-funded MENTOR grant and providing MEAL assistance to projects implemented through CRS local partners in Lebanon.
The MEAL Officer will spend 50% of his/her time on the MENTOR capacity strengthening project, and 50% of his/her time providing Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) support to all other CRS funded projects.
Specific Requirements:
* Minimum of five years of work experience in development and/or emergency programs
* Professional experience in monitoring and evaluation methods
* Demonstrated experience in community mobilization, organization and mediation among local actors
* Strong cross-cultural skills and experience working with people from different ethnic/cultural backgrounds
* Demonstrated capacities to establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with donors, government officials, local organizations, communities and other stakeholders
*Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
* Must be able to work independently and represent CRS
* Proficiency in computer applications(MS Word, Excel)
* Willingness to travel
