The Field Officer is part of the IRC team based in Beirut, and will spend approximately 60% of his/her time in the field. He/she reports directly to the Project Manager with frequent travel to Tripoli and throughout Mount Lebanon. He/she is responsible for data collection and analysis, and contribute to the drafting of donor and other reporting, as required.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in data collection, and preferably with expertise in ICT solutions.
Major Responsibilities:
Conduct regular field visits to different stakeholders for monitoring and follow-up
Provide regular updates and analysis of data to Project Manager to assess progress and suggest adaptations of the project
Oversee the collection, analysis, and utilization of information
Conduct Key informant interviews and focus group discussions with different stakeholders and collect metric data
Regularly update and communicate stakeholders on system updates and latest news using multiple channels
To participate in the field work and respond to different stakeholders queries with good knowledge of relevant information.

Job Requirements:
Work Experience: 1-2 years of experience as field officer
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
Demonstrated experience and capacity in conducting field-level data collection and some experience in data analysis
Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 2007 and Microsoft Access.
Demonstrated experience working with ICT tools to collect and analyze data
Previous experience in mentoring and coaching team members
Strong ability to work independently, organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility
INGO experience preferred
Experience of working with ODK/Kobo Toolkit, RapidSMS, GIS, etc preferred
Personal qualities: Works well in teams and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well.
Language Skills: Fluency in English and Arabic required
Working Environment: Travel and other requirements: Staff will be based in Beirut, with 80% travel required in all Lebanon areas.
