Pshychologist

General Purpose of the position: The Psychologist is responsible for the training of all JRS Lebanon staff in matters of Psychological First Aid, recognition of symptoms and support for persons in distress. Furthermore she/he initiates and supervises referrals of cases to outside experts. Less complicated cases will be attended by her/him at the home of the refugee or in JRS’ field offices. The Psychologist debriefs the Social Workers regularly.   Training Conducting of session on Psychological First Aid and recognition of symptoms indicating psychological and/or psychiatric condition. Conducting sessions on how to support persons in distress and trauma. Conducting sessions on self-care and stress handling.   Staff Care Regular debriefing/supervision and coaching of Social Workers. Counselling of staff.   Collaboration with External Experts Identification and assessment of individual cases for referral. Follow-up on any referred case. Planning and facilitating common workshops with External Experts for JRS staff.   Counselling Counselling of individual cases in Jbeil, Bar Elias, Kfarzabad, Lala, Beirut.   Administration Keeping proper patient files Writing condensed reports of the activities done and the cases treated. Minimum Requirements Excellent in English and Arabic Valid Driving License Ability and willingness to travel daily to the indicated locations
